Big Four N.C. ACC Canned Food Drive

Mission Statement:

To garner a donation competition among the four North Carolina ACC schools; Duke University, North Carolina State University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Wake Forest University.  The universities will promote community wide canned food drives to help feed all hunger-stricken people across North Carolina.  The university which collects the most donations will be deemed the winner, but all who participate whether by serving or by being served are truly winners.  

Important Facts:

1. The canned food drive will begin February 1^st, 2006 and last until March 1^st, 2006.

      *Collections for canned foods and donations will be received at the RBC Center gates during the following N.C. State Men's Basketball Games:  #1 Wed., Feb. 1^st, 2006 @ 7:00PM vs. Virginia; #2 Sunday, Feb. 5^th, 2006 @ 2:00PM vs. Maryland; #3 Wed., Feb 15^th, 2006 @ 7:30PM vs. FSU; #4 Wed., Feb. 22^nd, 2006 @ 9:00PM vs. UNC; #5 Sat., Feb. 25^th, 2006 @ 3:45 PM vs. BC.

       *During the competition people may opt to participate in the virtual canned food drive by visiting http://www.foodbankcenc.org/virtual_drive/ncsu.asp .  This link will also be accessible through the NCSU homepage starting February 1^st, 2006. 

      *Donation Boxes will be placed at all C-Stores, Dining Halls, the Atrium, Talley Student Center, Witherspoon Student Center, and other eateries on N.C. States Campus.

 2.  The final results will be presented at the Duke vs. UNC and the N.C. State vs. Wake Forest games on March 4^th, 2006.
